Meet our team of talents consisting of committed, passionate and experienced teachers!
Monica W.Centre DirectorMonica is a Reggio Emilia-inspired Learning Advocate and Early Childhood Educator who has worked with children for over 20 years. As the vice-chair of a non-profit organization and mom of two, she is also a philanthropist as well as a supporter of sustainable living.
Monica loves animals and enjoys giving back for such causes. With her background in business and previously being a Shop Steward for a union, she decided to build WOLO to be a space teachers wake up excited to work at. She believes in teaching children to have a sense of humanity and compassion to make the world a better place. Our children are our future! |
Angela C.Operations CoordinatorAngela has been with WOLO since its opening in 2017 and has worked closely with parents and students alike. She has a Bachelors of Arts from Simon Fraser University, and enjoys taking her dog out on hikes and working out in her spare time.

Faye R.AdministratorFaye holds a Masters in Business Administration degree from University Canada West and was an International Cultural Exchange student from Philippines to Seogijapranata University in Indonesia. She is devoted to advancing administrative and business operations at WOLO. As our dedicated Office Administrator, she channels her knowledge and skills into strategic planning, effective communication, and innovative problem-solving, fostering a cohesive and efficient work environment that prioritizes diversity and inclusivity. And most of all, children remind her of the beauty of life and growth. With a passion inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, Ms. Faye is deeply committed to curating a positive atmosphere that nurtures the growth of children.

Brandon is an enthusiastic educator with a passion for inspiring children and watching them grow in their learning. He has worked closely with many students, creating opportunities for students to develop skills and build their potentials through his experience as an educator, day camp counsellor, and sports coach.
Working towards a Bachelor’s of Education at SFU He looks forward to a career in education filled with learning and laughter. Growing up, he participated in a multitude of badminton tournaments and has been awarded many awards for his achievements. Through these experiences, both the good and bad, Brandon developed a deep understanding of the importance of instilling motivation and hard work within childhood education. As today’s children are the leaders of the future, he believes in the importance of promoting empathy and kindness within his teaching plans. |
Carla holds a Bachelor's of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia, where her studies focused on Developmental Psychology. Carla has dedicated herself to volunteering in educational initiatives and daycares in Peru and Canada, gaining practical experience in working with children of various ages and environments. Her commitment is rooted in the belief that supporting children during their developmental years is vital and she advocates for allowing children to actively participate in their learning journey, emphasizing the importance of individualized attention.

Sharin has been working with children for over five years. She received her Bachelors in Therapeutic Recreation from Douglas Collage in 2017 and has since then continued her education gaining an Education Assistant Diploma and Early Childhood Education Assistant Certificate.
Sharin has experience working with children of all ages and has worked in afterschool programs, preschool, summer camps and in classrooms. She believes in the importance of encouraging children to use their imagination through play and art to explore the world around them. |
Selby M.EducatorShelby comes from St. Albert, Alberta. She is part of the First Nations Band, Cowessess, that is located in Saskatchewan. Shelby has graduated from Vancouver Film School. She is hard working and takes a large interest in the Entertainment Industry. Shelby’s writing style usually focuses on surrealism and absurdism. She can write a story about the ordinary world but give a hint of something fantastical. Her hobbies are making animations and knitting, meaning… She is always creating. She wants to use imagination to create unique stories that have not been told before whether it be in video games or television series.

Anny S.Cantonese Class Head TeacherAnny has been a Licensed Early Childhood Educator for more than 10 years and currently holds the ECE, Infant & Toddler, and Special Needs Licenses. She also hold a Montessori certificate from NAMC. She has been a Cantonese Teacher since 2012.
From being a ECE teacher, she learned that each child is unique and talented in their own different way. Her goal is to provide a non-traditional and age appropriate Cantonese learning experience to cultivate the attitudes, habits, and appreciations that will enable the child to explore, question, and discover the Chinese culture. The goal of our program is to provide the basic knowledge of the Chinese culture which inspire their interest to pursuit on their own. |
Emily L.Piano Teacher
Emily began playing piano at a very young age and has studied with master pianists from both China and Canada. With their expert guidance, she has completed her ARCT piano studies, theory music and has participated in an array of music festivals such as the Kiwanis festivals. She also actively performs in various community recitals and concerts and has won various trophies and awards from her performances.

Eileen L.Piano TeacherEileen began playing piano at the age of six and has participated in numerous music festivals such as Kiwanis festivals in Vancouver and Richmond. In 2008, she completed her ARCT with a high mark of 90 and subsequently won the ARCT trophy for piano for highest mark in Richmond branch. Following this achievement, she was invited by the chairperson of Trophy to perform at the honours recital for BCRMTA. Eileen continued her musical education with Professor Arthur Rowe for her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Victoria and graduated with honours. She also holds a Master’s degree from University of Ottawa for piano performance under the guidance of Professor Andrew Tunis.
She has performed actively in concerts as a trio group and soloist, and has played for pianists such as Jamie Parker and Shoko Inoue in Master classes. |
