Tuition is calculated per lesson (weekly), then divided by 10 to create a monthly flat rate
Monthly tuition remains consistent regardless of the number of lessons in a month
A non-refundable registration fee of $20 and an annual fee of $90 that goes towards, piano maintenance, teacher development, administration and materials are required.
Music books used for lessons are purchased separately by the families and students
We only accept tuition via Pre Authorized Debit (PAD). We are no longer accepting credit cards and cheques for music lessons.
Written notice must be provided to WOLO via email to firstname.lastname@example.org
If a student is unable to attend their schedules lessons and provides at least one week written notice, then a make-up lesson can be discussed. Any cancellation with less than one week notice and/or no written notice will not be given a make-up lesson.
Make-up lessons are also not guaranteed and subject to teacher availability
Make-up lessons do not carry over to the next school year
Make-up lessons cannot be rescheduled once they are schedule
If there is a closure due to inclement weather, lesson will move online and make-up lessons and refunds will not be offered
In the event that the teacher is unable to attend a scheduled lesson, WOLO will arrange for another piano teacher to teach the lesson
Students who are sick should stay home and not attend in-person lessons until they make a full recovery
Online sessions are available for the same scheduled time
WOLO offers breaks for a total of 4 weeks throughout the school year (September to August) and statutory holidays as well
If a student is away for more than 1 month and no notice is given, their reserved time slot will be automatically made available for other students to register
If you would like to keep your time slot while you are on break (for a maximum of one month), you can:
Option 1: for the month, pay 100% of the tuition. The cancelled lessons for the month can be:
transferred to a sibling, friend, or family member
added to the make-up lesson list (missed lesson policy applies)
Option 2: For the month, pay 50% of the tuition. This will reserve your time slot but does not give you the option of having any make-up lessons for the time missed
In the event that the student wishes to discontinue lessons at WOLO, one month's written notice needs to be provided by email to email@example.com.
If less than a month's written notice is provided, you will be charged for the following month.
At the discretion of the teacher and after discussion with parents, students may be asked to discontinue music lessons due to unpaid tuition, excess amount of absences/unprepared lessons, or if the student shows a lack of interest
