Beginners Group Piano

Kickstart your piano learning journey with new friendships and new piano ​skills!

Pre-requisite: Completion of a group trial piano session.

Duration:
22-24 weeks; 60 minute weekly group classes & 20 minute weekly partner ​lessons

Key learning outcomes:

• Developing hand coordination, pedalling, body posture, and learning beginning scales and fingering exercises
• Identify notes on the piano, notes on the staff, directional reading and sight reading challenges
• Explore basic piano techniques, rhythmic values, intervals, and keeping a steady beat
• Engage in compositions, ear training games, and theory games
• Expand self-expression, fostering creativity, and dynamic expressions
• Create through storytelling, famous composers and listening to various genres
• Expand imagination, creativity and musical knowledge
• Focus on perseverance, self-esteem and growing confidence
• Accountable to setting goals, how-to-practice and completing challenges
• Meeting new friends, cooperative playful learning and guided learning
• Discover team play, partner/duet play, and solo 
• Learn songs beyond the book through each student's self-interest
• Participate in in-class performances and end of year recital
• And more!

This group lesson includes: singing, listening, movement, rhythm activities, and beginner activities on the keyboard.

At the end of the group lesson, students will continue onto next level of group piano lessons and/or private piano lessons.
